ANIMATION Film Festival – Thursday December 28, 2017

The FEEDBACK Monthly Film Festival is back for 2017.. Our home is The Carlton Cinemas, located in the heart of downtown Toronto at 20 Carlton Street. The event runs from 7pm to 9:10pm.

Continuing to showcase the best of short films from around the world, while maintaining our audience feedback format moderated by Kierston Drier and Amanda Lomonaco. Showcasing a festival twice a month in 2017!

Tickets for 2017 are PAY WHAT YOU LIKE. Purchase your tickets online via Paypal or Credit Card. Tickets are first come first serve.


If you like to obtain seats in advance and pick them up on the day of the event (come for FREE, or make a donation), please email us at tickets@wildsound.ca and we’ll reserve seats for you.

You can pick up the tickets on the day of the event at the cinema. Tickets are first come, first serve. This festival has sold out 58 out of its last 60 events!

You will be able to buy alcohol (beer, wine, liquor), popcorn, candy, and refreshments before the show.

CONDITIONER, 5min., USA, Animation/Experimental
Directed by Shane Beam

An audition for a conditioner commercial becomes an otherworldly psychogenic experience.

THE BLUE BUTTERFLY, 5min., China, Animation 
Directed by Mei Li

To collect butterflies from the memory of his marriage, an old man travels around the world, then he relives the moment with his wife while capturing the butterflies.

CHRYSALIS, 7min., Singapore, Animation 
Directed by Ina Conradi

Based on an old legend about the butterfly’s struggles the film is the symbolic metaphor of rebirth after death and fascination with the human innate drive to survive.

BARRY THE BLOBFISH, 2min., USA, Animation
Directed by Marleia A. Alfaro

Barry is a fat ugly fish that can’t swim and lives at the bottom of the ocean. He longs to live on a beautiful coral reef at the top of a tall, tall cliff.

PINK BUBBLES, 3min., Taiwan, Animation 
Directed by Pei Yao 

Pink Bubbles is a short 3D animation about a lonely whale looking for a companionship. Diving underwater, this whale has been ignored by other whales because their calls are on different frequencies. As he is a fighter, he never gives up on finding someone who can understand him. His longing leads him to a tragic end.

ONCE AND DONE, 3min, USA, Animation/Documentary
Directed by Jacob Pettit

This is the true story of Jeff as told by Jeff, who faces the repercussions of his choices, and learns from his mistakes.

Cool alley cat meets old blues musician and they tour together

GLORIOUS VICTORY, 2min., USA, Animation 
Directed by Will Kim

Glorious Victory is an animated short film about two beetles fighting over a fig fruit which leads both of the beetles to complete disaster. Will Kim uses watercolor to tell a story of ambition, greed, and selfishness with an original soundtrack composed and performed by Tatenori Hamasaka.
